Hanging On 02:58
waking up to the sunlight going down and I know how I am always missing out on my love don't forget to write this down 'til the show so I can numb these aching guts, but it wont No it wont 'cause I feel everything and it kills me not to know what its worth to hold on to this earth when it pulls me from the city that I've known to the sky where you go when you die it gets old hanging on it gets old hanging on staying up 'til the city's finally still and I find what it is that keeps me here and alive rip my clothes and pour my heart to the night where I go when it gets dark and deny and deny that I feel everything and it kills me not to know what its worth to hold on to this earth when it pulls me from the city that I've known to the sky where you go when you die It gets old hanging on It gets old hanging on hanging it all on a hope there's a reason why we fight just to cope with our lives on the day we die just to feel anything and it kills me to look up to the sky and feel empty inside it gets old hanging on it gets old hanging on

Lampless 04:16
I've been thinking of home and how the places where I've crashed never had the name to match searched inside of my bones for the missing hours of sleep I cannot seem to keep alone on this lampless road I've been thinking of death and how it keeps taking friends but skips over my head it's taken all I've got left to keep from quickening my pace so I can finish out this race alone on this lampless road I've been writing this down to keep my head from going black with the things i can't take back it helps to say it out loud that I love you more than I hate myself so why should I sing anything else I will find my way home on this lampless road I will find my way home on this lampless road

about

Both of these songs were written over a year ago but have yet to find a home on a recording. They continue to be lyrically relevant to me and I couldn't think of a better time to share them than one year from the release of my first full-length solo album and one month from the death of my friend Brian Fairweather, who was a constant force of love and encouragement behind the music I create.
