at times i’m so afraid to call it what it is
a drying of this sea i used to drown my sorrows in
the walls are decorated with my bloody fingerprints
clawing towards the doorway

it’s bringing out the ghosts
of friends that i had yesterday
adventure down this road could never last

have i the strength to bury in the past
